Bangladesh opt to bat against India in 1st test at Indore
Bangladesh test captain Mominul Haque has won the toss and he has no hesitation in opting to bat first against India in the first test at Indore in India. Bangladesh are missing their two premier cricketers Shakib Al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal for different reasons but that didn't stop them from beating India for the first time in T20Is at New Delhi about 10 days ago and there is no reason why they cannot do that in the Test series.
But things might be bit more difficult in the longest format, especially considering India's staggering record at home. Teams:
Bangladesh XI: Imrul Kayes, Shadman, Mohammad Mithun, Mominul Haque (capt), Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah, Liton Das, Mehedi Hasan Miraz, Taijul Islam, Abu jayed, Ebadot.
India XI: Rohit Sharma, Mayank Agarwal, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli (capt), Ajinkya Rahane, Ravindra Jadeja, Wriddhiman Saha (wk), R Ashwin, Ishant Sharma, Mohammad Shami, Umesh Yadav.
