Shajahan lauds Indian Army’s role during Liberation War

Shajahan Khan, MP, lauded the role of Indian Army during the Liberation War on Sunday. “The contribution of Indian Army was unforgettable and with the help of the then Indian Government, we achieved our victory,” he said.
Shajahan, former Shipping Minister, said while speaking at a reception of Indian Army and freedom fighters at the headquarters of Eastern Command of Indian Army at Fort William in Kolkata. Every year, India also celebrates ‘Bijoy Dibosh’ on December 16 like Bangladesh. To mark the Day, Indian Army organised four-day long programmes including military concert, exhibition of war horse, helicopter exercise and discussion.
Freedom fighters from Bangladesh and injured army members from both the countries attended the four-day long programmes where 30 freedom fighters were greeted.
