Bangabandhu’s relative Abdul Hye Serniabat included in Razakars’ list!
Criticism is going on regarding the lists of Razakars as names of many eminent persons of the country are included in the recently published lists of anti-liberation people. Among many, Bangabandhu’s brother-in-law (sister’s husband) Abdul Hye Serniabat was also included in Razakars’ list published by the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs ahead of the Victory Day.
The family members were surprised finding the name of Abdul Hye Serniabat in the list of Razakars. Freedom fighter Aman Serniabat, son of Abdul Hye Serniabat, said, “My father was in government service before the independence of the country (Bangladesh). He criticised chief of Army Ayub Khan heavily during his service. That is why; he (my father) had to face obstacles by the senior officials. My father even gave his gun to the freedom fighters. We the four brothers took part in the Liberation War as per the directive of our father. During the independence war, my father could not stay at home. But he had come at home sometimes in secret.”
“The history has been changed after a long time. The name of my father has been included in the list of Razakars. I have lost my words to say anything in this regard. I demand punishment of those who are involved in the conspiracy,” he stated.
